Water catchment areas within the Grampians National Park are a water supply source for Wannon Water and Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water.

 Grampians National Park

Water is treated and supplied to more than 45 towns and 7,000 rural properties, including the townships of Hamilton, Tarrington, Dunkeld and Cavendish.

Please be aware that many of the walking trails, roads, tracks and picnic areas in the Grampians National Park are within the water catchment areas.

Bushfires, erosion and public recreation are the main risks we have identified that can impact on the quality of water coming from the area.
