Wannon Water has adopted a Drought Response Plan for each of its water supply systems. The plan is currently with the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) and is being reviewed.
The plan incorporates the Water Restrictions By-law that applies throughout our service area.
The Drought Response Plan represents the following systems:
- Otway Water Supply System; including Warrnambool and towns connected to the North Otway pipeline;
- Grampians Water Supply Systems; including the Hamilton system, Glenthompson and Balmoral; and
- Groundwater Water Supply Systems including the Port Campbell system, the Casterton system, Caramut, Darlington, Dartmoor, Heywood, Macarthur, Penshurst, Port Fairy and Portland.
Wannon Water reviews water storage details for all centres reliant on surface water run-off on a weekly basis. For more information on storages, please see the Storages webpage.
