The role:

This role is an exciting opportunity for a person with an interest in the Water Industry.

The Civil Maintenance Operator will perform civil maintenance activities supporting the efficient operations of Wannon Water’s water and wastewater network assets. Duties will vary from carrying out reactive, proactive and corrective civil maintenance activities, promoting the importance of a safe work environment and contribute to identification of ongoing improvement practices.

Applicants will need to demonstrate the following qualities:

  • Possess proficient oral and communication skills
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Are sensitive to customer’s needs
  • Experience with work management systems and other applications.

A background in plumbing, construction or other related disciplines, would be highly regarded but not essential.

The successful applicant will be required to participate in a rostered after hours on call system after a qualifying period and work towards the attainment of Certificate III in Water Industry Operations.

This position has a starting salary range of salary ranges of $54,310 to $60,682 p.a. plus 9.5% superannuation depending on qualifications and experience plus on call and overtime allowances after a qualifying period. This salary range increases upon completion of the Certificate III in Water Industry Operations.
