Updated Valuing Our Water Photo Competition 02

‘Valuing Our Water’ photo competition

This year, we are excited to announce, in partnership with Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority, our photo competition for school students in our regions to show us how they value water.

Grab a phone, camera or ipad and get creative to show us why water is important. Snap a photo of how you use water – in the garden, in our environment or perhaps for recreation – anything that portrays how water is important to you.

Give it a title and submit it online. Please read the terms and conditions of entry.

There are great prizes to be won for students and schools, including gopros, vouchers and water efficiency products.

Entries are now open and close 27 May 2021.

World Water Day

This year’s theme for World Water Day on March 22 is ‘Valuing Water’.

World Water Day is about what water means to people, its true value and how we can better protect this vital resource.

By becoming aware of and celebrating the different ways water benefits our lives, we can place a great value on water and ensure we protect it.

Encourage discussions with your students:

What does water mean to you?

How is water important to your home and family life, your livelihood, your cultural practices, your wellbeing, your local environment?

How can you and your students celebrate World Water Day?

  • Enter our photo competition and show us how you value water for a chance to win some great prizes.
  • Book an education incursion to learn more about water.
  • Create a ‘water day’ event at your school
