Expressions of interest now open for a new Port Fairy mural
About the project
We’re looking for experienced creatives to design and apply a mural to our James Street Sewage Pump Station (SPS) in Port Fairy. We want a positive feature for locals and visitors that shows “what’s underneath” – bringing the hidden world of our sewage network to life in a fun and informative way.
The mural will sit alongside a playground and skate park, so we’re keen for something that suits the area and celebrates the local environment.
Who can apply?
We welcome EOIs from individual artists, teams, collectives, First Nations artists and local or regional creatives. Experience with large murals or public art will help.
What’s involved?
The successful artist will:
- Develop a final artwork concept
- Work with our team to make sure the mural suits the building
- Prepare the surface and complete the mural to a high standard
- Use our colour palette and brand guidance
- Provide a maintenance guide
- Take part in agreed community education activities
Applicants must meet all our safety and contractor requirements, including relevant insurance, any required licences, and on‑site inductions.
