We’re proud to announce the 2025 recipients of our Ripple Effect community grants program.

Thirteen organisations and schools across South West Victoria will receive a total of $44,000 to support their community-driven projects.

Branch Manager Communications & Engagement, Garrath Darkin said the program reflected Wannon Water’s vision of ‘going beyond water for strong communities’ by supporting projects and initiatives that boosted the long-term health and prosperity of the region.

“We had 61 applicants this year, highlighting the strength and scale of our community’s desire to improve the region.

The Ripple Effect grants were awarded in three categories, with up to $5,000 available to community groups, $4,000 for international aid, and a maximum of $1,000 for schools.

The projects needed to address at least one of Wannon Water’s community priority areas: health and wellbeing; education; the environment; and regional prosperity. Initiatives and events that actively encouraged inclusive participation and support accessibility were also prioritised.

“These grants support passionate people who are creating real change. Whether it’s improving mental health or encouraging young people to thrive, they can have a lasting impact on our communities.”

“Our judging panel was impressed with diverse ways these organisations will make a difference, and we’re excited to see their projects take shape over the next year,” Mr Darkin said.

Congratulations to all the 2025 recipients Beyond the Bell Great South Coast, Brophy Family and Youth Services, Cavendish Townscape Association, Cobden Technical School, Hawksdale P12 College, Laang Speedway Club, Merino Public Hall, St Patrick’s Primary School Koroit, Upwelling Festival, Warrnambool & District Community Hospice, Warrnambool Symphony Orchestra, Water East Timor Warrnambool, and WRAD Health.
