Where your water comes from
We manage a complex range of water sources across South West Victoria.
Water sources and supply systems
We manage a complex range of water sources across our 24,000-square-kilometre region, supplying more than 11,000 million litres of drinking water each year. They include shallow bores, deep aquifers, surface catchments and an award-winning roof water harvesting system.
Otway supply system
Our largest and most complex system, providing two-thirds of all our water needs.
Grampians supply system
Our oldest system, dating back to 1900.
Dilwyn Aquifer
This water source stretches across South West Victoria and into South Australia.
Bridgewater Formation Aquifer
Thirty-metre deep bores in the Tullich borefield are used to source water for this supply.
