Every drop count photography competition

We use water every day. It can be easy to forget how precious it is. Especially in the recent dry conditions in the region, every drop we can save makes a difference!

That’s why, together with Southern Rural Water and the Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority we asked people in our region to share a photo focused on the value of water.

  • Tim with his Lake Mombeong Sunrise shot won the open competition.
  • Ruby took out the junior comp with a sunset beach photo, a reminder of the role beaches play in the environment, supporting tourism and offering habitat for wildlife.
  • The photo that best captured the importance of water in our lives as voted by the community was from Alyvia featuring Koharu the sheep.
