We’re celebrating World Environment Day by inviting our community to explore our Water Treatment Plant in Hamilton. Learn all about how we keep your water clean and safe!

When: Thursday 11 June 2026

Time: 10am – 10.45am,11:30am – 12.15pm or 1:30pm – 2.15pm

Where: 81 Kinnanes Road Hamilton

Find out where your water comes from and how we keep the supply secure from the team that works to provides water to homes and businesses across Hamilton, Tarrington and Dunkeld.

Bring your family, friends or colleagues along to a fun-filled session of learning and exploration – you’re guaranteed to come away with a new appreciation for all the work that goes into getting water to your taps!

Getting there

The Water Treatment Plant is located at 81 Kinnanes Road, Hamilton, VIC 3300.

Important information

Tours will take place in 45-minute blocks for groups of up to 15 people. Minimum age is 5 years and children must be accompanied by an adult. Long pants and non-slip, closed toe shoes are required. Cameras are allowed.

No backpacks or handbags are permitted for safety and security reasons.

The event may be cancelled at short notice due to adverse weather. If this happens, we will email attendees to advise of the cancellation or you can keep an eye on our Facebook page.

Wannon Water may take photographs and videos of the event and may include your image, recordings of your voice and/or your name (collectively the materials).

Wannon Water may wish to use and reproduce the materials for the following purposes:
