Located in state forest around 15 kilometres west of Casterton, the 30-metre deep bores are used to source of water for:
Four bores at the Tullich borefield are used to extract water from the Bridgewater Formation Aquifer.
Once extracted, the water is sent to the Casterton Water Treatment Plant where it is disinfected.
