National Water Week 2026 competition winners!
It’s National Water Week 2026, and we’re excited to announce the winners of annual poster competition
More than 330 students from 12 schools entered the competition this year.
The theme was Water Heroes: Make Every Drop Count. It aimed to reflect on the essential role water plays in our lives and the importance of protecting this vital resource for a sustainable future.
Children from early learning through primary school, and for the first time, Years 7-8 of secondary school, were invited to design, draw or paint a poster that reflects this theme.
The competition is hosted in partnership with Southern Rural Water and the Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority.
The 2026 winners!
Congratulations to this year’s winners and a special mention to our two state winners King’s College Early Learning Centre and Theo who both got second place in their categories in the state competition.
All the schools and kindergartens who participated were also entered into a lucky dip draw to win $400 for a sustainability project of their choice.
